"Old Vines"

While a young vine produces more fruit, as it ages it will produce fewer but richer berries. The concentration of flavours from older vines gives the grapes aromas of dried fruit and tobacco.

And because the roots of the vines have reached deep into the ground, you’ll be able to taste the minerality of the soil in the wine as well. It’s almost as if the wine made from these grapes provides a way of discovering the nature of the soil.

The grapes in this "cuvée" are sourced from vines averaging 35 years of age. The wine has been vinified in the traditional way, in oak barrels instead of steel tanks.

This new Cuvée Vieilles Vignes, well-balanced and full-flavoured with a long finish will give wine lovers not only a great bottle of champagne, but a little history as well.
